Haveli at Old Delhi of Masterji Kee is named after Late Shri Master Ram Kishan Gupta (1913-2003). Masterji was graduated from Hindu College, Delhi in the year 1932. He went ahead to do his masters in Sanskrit and Hindi. He was awarded by the State Government for his meritorious services.
Masterji stayed in this haveli throughout his life which is now known as Haveli Masterji Kee. He inherited this haveli through his mother Mrs. Gomti Devi. She had also stayed at this haveli for almost all her life.
Masterji was a gernerous and “Satvik” person (Satva is the first among the three phenomenon stated in the Vedas; Sava, Rajas & Tamas. Satva is the phenomenon of purity, Rajas is the mixture of good and bad equally and Tamas is bad alone. A satvik person is the one who possesses purity as his/her trait).
Masterji was fond of keeping cows and teaching children. He devoted his entire life in serving cows and teaching children. He wanted that the people in all levels of society to be educated. Hence, he spent a lot of time in providing free education to those who could not afford it otherwise. Many of his students have achieved great success in various walks of life.
